WORK PARTY RSVP
Volunteer Opportunity for
Mile Post 27 Wildlife Fencing
WORK PARTY DATES | MAY 19, 20, 26 & JUNE 2, 4 | STARTING 8:30 AM
Hey mighty volunteers! Experience a rare view of an existing I-90 wildlife undercrossing and help improve the useability for wildlife like elk. Know that your volunteer efforts will lead to real-world results – please come prepared for rain or shine! We will be clearing blackberry and brush for the construction of the new wildlife fence line and flagging where the posts will go.
Wear closed-toed shoes and long (but cool) sleeves and pants. We will have tools and leather gloves for volunteers. We will bring snacks cookies, chips, and cold drinks on site and at the parking area.
Project partners: Washington State Dept. Of Transportation, Conservation Northwest, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Snoqualmie Tribe, Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, Ruffed Grouse Society, and Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance.
