Andrea grew up in Germany, Seattle, and on the beautiful beaches of Moclips, Wa. She joins Conservation Northwest with a background in government public affairs, news and media, event management, and the wine industry. Andrea studied journalism and strategic communications at San Francisco State University, the University of Washington, the Danish School of Journalism in Aarhus, Denmark, and the Hogeschool von Utrecht in the Netherlands. Coming from a long line of Washingtonians, she is thrilled to use her communication and engagement skills to further our mission of protecting precious Northwest wilderness and wildlife. While not typing furiously or reading, she can be found adventuring with her dogs, planning wacky escapades around the globe, razor clamming on the coast, or trying to learn which plants and mushrooms in the woods are tasty and which will kill her.
