Join us TOMORROW at Asahel Curtis to celebrate public lands!
Conservation Northwest / Apr 22, 2016 / Public Lands
We’re looking forward to protecting and celebrating YOUR public lands at 11:00 am tomorrow at Asahel Curtis! Here is a Google Maps link to the Lake Annette Trailhead where we’ll be rallying: https://goo.gl/maps/fbMRPFJdTMv
Remember to bring a Northwest Forest Pass! A day or annual pass is required for parking on national forests. Passes are available at the Ranger District office in North Bend, the North Bend Information Center, and the Mt. Si Chevron off I-90 exit 31. More info: http://1.usa.gov/22TTj00
Be aware that the 520 bridge is closed this weekend and I-90 might have heavy traffic. If you’re coming from Seattle we suggest leaving around 9:00 am to reach Asahel Curtis by 11:00. And be sure to bring a jacket, there may be showers tomorrow.
Looking for fun outdoor activities in the Snoqualmie Pass area before or after the rally? We’ve put together a list here: http://conservationnw.org/news/scat/enjoy-your-public-lands
Or if you want to take a hike or walk straight from the rally site, check out the Asahel Curtis Nature Trail (http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/asahel-curtis) or the Annette Lake Trail (http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/annette-lake, be aware: snow may still be present at Annette Lake).
