The Mountaineers Foundation awards grant funding to Conservation Northwest
Conservation Northwest / Jul 21, 2016 / Work Updates
We’re pleased to announce that the Mountaineers Foundation has granted Conservation Northwest funding for an upcoming educational film, as well as other education outreach surrounding grizzly bear recovery.
The film, in production through the National Parks Conservation Association with help from Conservation Northwest and other organizations, will feature BBC and PBS host and grizzly bear expert Chris Morgan and will focus on recovery efforts of the grizzly bear in Washington state.
The Mountaineers Foundation “believes it is important for citizens to better understand the impacts and significance of recovery.” The film, expected to be completed in late 2016, and our other outreach methods will help educate the public on grizzly bear recovery in the North Cascades.
The Mountaineers Foundation was established in 1968 and is dedicated to passing the best possible environment legacy to ensuing generations, primarily through promoting actions and fostering understanding to inspire conservation within the Salish Sea region. An important component of the Mountaineers is conservation education grant funding.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the Mountaineers Foundation for choosing Conservation Northwest to help us further our education efforts surrounding grizzly bear recovery.
