a powerful alliance of 27 statewide organizations advocating for stronger environmental
laws and policies that protect and restore Washington’s climate and ecosystems. We work
across state and local agencies, municipalities, Tribal communities, and key decision–
makers to advance bold climate and conservation solutions that benefit all
Washingtonians.

Why Invest in Climate Action?
The Climate Commitment Act (CCA) is a critical law that reduces climate pollution,
supports communities disproportionately affected by environmental hazards and
promotes economic development, clean air, public health, and sustainable transportation.
To ensure its continued success, we must secure funding for key environmental programs:

Working Climate Forests – The Department of Natural Resources manages 2.1 million
acres of state trust lands. Sustainable forest management is essential for protecting
mature forests, generating long–term revenue for rural and underrepresented communities,
reducing wildfire risks and enhancing carbon storage.

Biodiversity Initiative – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is
working to protect species and habitats from decline, ensuring long–term ecosystem health
and resilience.

Wolf Recovery – The Wolf Advisory Group partners with WDFW to mitigate wolf–livestock
conflicts, fostering coexistence between wildlife and local communities.
