X

Dan leads the Northeast Washington (NEW) Heritage Campaign to advance conservation outcomes in the Colville National Forest that insure self-determination and economic prosperity for the Tribes and communities that call this area home.

Dan grew up in Washington, spending his childhood on the Kitsap Peninsula and in the Wenatchee Valley before joining the US Navy. After graduating from Eastern Washington University with his BA in Anthropology, Dan worked for over two years in the Middle East developing international academic partnerships, including the installation of a landmark US Consulate education and cultural outreach program in the Palestinian Territories. Upon returning to Spokane, Dan transitioned to the private industry while focusing his free time on conservation issues. As a volunteer with Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and Inland Northwest Wildlife Council, Dan has worked on issues relating to natural resource policy, recreational access, and habitat restoration. In his free time, Dan can be alongside his wife, introducing their children to hunting, fishing, and exploring the outdoor heritage of Washington state.
