Tis’ the season to be jolly! As we find ourselves in the midst of holiday season, the parties to plan, the gifts to buy, and yes – the appeals from our favorite non-profits to read – it may be hard to focus on the true meaning of the season. Before we get too overwhelmed, today is the perfect time to stop, take a breath, and remember what’s most important.

A Canada lynx, one of Washington’s rarest species, and one we’ve worked hard to conserve and recover for more than 20 years.

“Giving Tuesday” is a movement started in recent years as a response to the commercialization and consumerism of the post-Thanksgiving shopping craze that you have just survived – Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Everyone loves getting a good deal, but with so much focus on buying, it’s hard to remember that giving is at the heart of the holidays. By participating in #GivingTuesday, you can celebrate what the holidays are supposed to be about. Make a gift to keep the the Northwest wildlife through our secure website here!

Here in the Pacific Northwest, our backyard opens up to some of the most beautiful regions known to the country. Maybe you even decided to #OptOutside this Black Friday. If you are anything like me, you would rather camp in native rainforest than outside a Super Store any night of the week. As much as we have to be thankful for, the wildlands and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest need your help. Remember, these regions thrive today because past communities gave their time, energy and financial support to secure their protection.

Celebrate the season by keeping the Northwest wild. Your donation this #GivingTuesday, protects, connects and restores our beloved lands of which many forms of wildlife call home. Donate now and become an integral part of the conservation community.

Please give to support our vital work for wildlife and wildlands.
