Conservation Northwest is now part of Freewill, a free online tool to write your legal will and plan legacy gifts.

BY MEGHAN MADDEN, DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & OPERATIONS

From the Washington Coast to the British Columbia Rockies, the future of the Pacific Northwest depends on the steps we take today to protect it. Beyond supporting conservation work today, there’s a simple step we can take to protect the future for our loved ones and assets: create a free, legal will through this online resource.

Though it may seem like a surprising resource coming from Conservation Northwest, stewardship is at the center of our work. We believe in taking action today for a thriving future tomorrow, and many in our community may not know that creating an estate plan is a powerful way that you can do the same!

Create a free will

Nearly 70 percent of Americans don’t have an updated legal will, despite it being an essential way to protect your loved ones — and the natural spaces we all cherish. Through one simple document, you can establish a vision for the future, find peace of mind in making a plan, and include an optional gift that will protect our wildlife and wildlands at no cost today. And through our friends at FreeWill, it’s completely free and takes less than 20 minutes.

Consider taking this easy step now, and join the 290,000 people that have already used FreeWill to secure their vision for the future and support the causes they love!
